Do you remember?
like I remember,
do you remember the nights and the days,
staring straight up into God's face.
And do you remember?
like I remember,
we stood boldly before the throne,
secure in His blood, secure on our own.
And do you remember?
like I remember,
we swore there'd be no compromise,
we'd pay the price, we'd live the christian life.
And we knew
it was possible, so much more than possible.
Our faith couldn't be a lie.

Do you remember?
Like I remember,
the first days of doubt set in,
because the lines we drew had taken us in
and we realized it wasn't just us and them.
Do you remember?
Like I remember, we realized this life it's not that bad.
Yeah they drink and they smoke, but it's not that bad;
they always have a good time, so it's not that bad.
And do you remember?
Like I remember,
We forgot the last time we ever prayed,
all we know is we're losing the christian race.
And we wondered,
is it possible, could it be possible?
Were we always a lie?

Do you remember?
Like I remember,
or maybe we'd all rather forget
but we know it's true, it's not over just yet.
Will you admit you remember?
Cuz I know I remember,
the day we turned, the day we learned
it was possible to walk away.
And so we did, and we walked so far
all of our lights got hidden, we forgot who we are.
I know you remember,
cuz I'll always remember.
We thought, it's possible, it's more than possible.
The whole thing must be a lie.

Do you remember?
I wish I could remember,
those words we knew so well,
about keeping the faith and getting up if you've fallen.
Will we never remember?
Doesn't someone remember,
that the darkness times well, they come and they go;
that the lessons we learn, they strip us down and they show
that we're real,
and even though it's heart-breaking,
at least it's better than faking.
So let's try to remember,
maybe someday we'll remember,
that hope is possible, that God is possible.
Could it be possible? Let it be possible…
